Premesse socio-storiche, sviluppo, strutturazione e prima evoluzione della sociologia in italia (1861-1962)
Iannaccone, Chiara
The research project proposes a chronological reconstruction of the birth, development and early stages of Sociology structuring in Italy, from national unification to the establishment, in 1962, of the Higher Education Institute of Social Sciences of Trento. The construction of a chronology imposes the assumption of a historical perspective, indispensable for an analysis that aims to outline, in a temporal sequence, the forms assumed by a knowledge linked to a history of individuals, ideas and facts and "their mutual relationships within a given society" (Mills, 1959, p. 16). The general goal presupposes the elaboration and implementation of a series of specific objectives, firstly based on the reconstruction of the "structure of that particular society as a whole", in its social, economic, political, cultural components and their relationships (ibid).
The investigation tries to consider the socio-historical premises that determine, from the middle of the 19th century, even if in a contradictory and discontinuous way, the development of social analysis with its theoretical and methodological instruments, and the various legitimation and delegitimization phases faced by sociology in the scientific and academic fields. In the whole process related to the development of sociology, it should be taken into account that when a discipline rises, it is only the product of individuals not yet completely coherent with the theoretical apparatus - that is going to be defined - and to which they are also part, but it is supported - in its manifestation- by other closed disciplines (while others will clearly oppose its establishment), and then much of this initial process generally takes place outside the university. … [edited by Author]

L’INAFFERRABILE MEDIUM Una cartografia delle teorie del fumetto dagli Anni Venti a oggi
Di Paola, Lorenzo
This research aims to map comic studies from the 1920s to today to understand how the perception of the medium has changed over time and how analytical tools have evolved, scientific methodologies and theoretical-cultural models.
All the scholars who confronted the comic studies had to face the difficulty of defining a stratified medium in continuous evolution, whose uncertain genealogy and unstable boundaries put a strain on the efforts of those who would like to classify the comic strip in a definitive taxonomy
The exploration and periodization of this theoretical field has allowed to identify cognitive models and examination methodologies that have succeeded in breaking down that resistant preconception of alphabetic culture that refuses to seriously estimate the great contribution of audio-visual culture and in particular comic strip; but despite the remarkable results achieved, there is a clear lack of a unified and shared theory in the face of a plurality of methodologies and disciplines that seek to circumscribe the field and that rarely dialogue with each other.
The aim of this work is also to offer a tool that can give greater awareness of the limits and achievements of this field of study, and that facilitates a dialogue between the various sectors and mutual recognition that will at last make it possible to go beyond one’s own disciplinary boundaries. Continuing to know how to interrogate the comic, means knowing how to interrogate ourselves, our history and our future, because in this body always able to regenerate and surprise us, we can find the fragments of a collective imaginary, nostalgia for past and lost times, and springboards for unpredictable, exciting or terrifying futures. La dimensione estetica della politica. Jacques Rancière la democrazia senza parte
Villani, Massimo
The starting point of the research is the assumption that actuality in not intelligible in a rational or moral perspective. The vanishing of every cognitive, moral or legal transcendence gives space to a reality that is complex and lacks systematic nature. Disarticulation and incoherence are the main character of an age in which individualism is maximally developed. The government of this differential complexity does not work through a transcendence reducing the whole to uniformity. Different and also antithetic paradigms coexist. The sovereign and state model has lost its centrality (both as political and economic subject), but it is not completely vanished. Forms of local governances, bottom-up insurgences, melt with demagogies, populisms and yearnings for providential forms of State.
All this tells us about a time of ‘crisis’, that is a crack between an ancient which is not vanished yet, and a new which is not arrived yet. However in this research there is no space for a semantic of the crisis: the long fragmentation of philosophical and political traditional rationality – the one who searched for a synthesis of the multiplex – is analysed to understand what emerges from this new configuration. I have called ‘anarchic’ this configuration, but without referring to the dramaturgy of a lost arché: in this research ‘anarchy’ is the absence of any principle, an absence from which emerges what first was submissive and deactivated...
