Abstract: This research article describes the Colombian history from the Bogotazo
to the beginning of the Frente Nacional looked through the perspective
of the Italian diplomacy. The study, of qualitative type and based on records of the Historical Diplomatic Office at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, highlights the vision given by representatives of Rome about a
crucial decade for the Latin American Republic and its connections with
the regional and international situation. The evaluation of the Italian mission is presented as a sign of the attention given by the European diplomacy has given to Colombian processes and events. Therefore, they can
contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of Colombia’s history
by offering a different reading from the viewpoint of an outside observer.</summary>

Abstract: The purpose of this descriptive research article is to analyze Lenin
Moreno’s inaugural speech as President of Ecuador. Abundant literature
exists on the analysis of political discourse in Spanish. However, little attention has been paid to the inaugural speech. Political discourse analysis
proves to be helpful in better understanding how institutions work and
how politicians interpret and conceive social reality. Thus it may be interesting to study the latest Latin American president’s inaugural speech by
analyzing not only its content but also its linguistic aspects.</summary>

    <summary type="text">Title: Crítica pionera de Pedro Francisco Bonó a la idea de progreso en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX

Abstract: This research article’s purpose through a quantitative methodology to examinate
Pedro Francisco Bonó´s questioning about salvific progress conception, which
characterized the sociopolitical and intellectual ambient of Dominican society on
the second half of XIX century. As a social historical referent his critical speech
about the progressive ideal, the social thinker approach the irruption of the European monopolistic capital on a country that recently emancipate itself from Spain
and insist vainly in setting institutions related to the Nation State. Among the noted obstacles are illiteracy and ignorance, colonial mentality, political corruption
and neocolonial practices. However, the intellectual critic warns that another of
the serious issues is the theory of progress, feverishly raised by liberals and positivists. The result of the present work the arguments are explained in this regard,
while analyzing the various stages of Bonó´s conceptualization.</summary>
