His essay La deshumanización del arte is a sort of manifesto which proposes an art for art’s sake, as far as possible from human aspects and disregarding social issues. The study is based above all on a careful analysis of the political vision of Islam, as it can be inferred from its sacred texts, also taking into consideration the problem of the often incorrect interpretation of such texts, easily distorted for political purposes that have nothing to do with the religious and spiritual dimension of Islam.
