Abstract

This article analyses the most recent European legislation on skilled migration - which ensures a more advanced treatment as compared to other categories of third-country nationals - with the aim of assessing whether its aspiration is to ensure full integration of beneficiaries into European society; or it is part of a policy aimed at the promotion of the so-called circular migration, whose main objective is the development and competitiveness of the European economy.
