Abstract

This article aims to assess the compatibility with EU data protection law of decree law no. 28 of 30 April 2020 – converted into law no. 70 of 25 June 2020 – which allows, for reasons of public health and in order to combat the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, the use in Italy of a contact tracing application, the so-called Immuni app, a tool that by nature limits and interferes with the fundamental right enshrined in art. 8 of the EU Charter of fundamental rights.
