dc.description.abstract | In the Criminal Code, the conditions for the application and (potentially unlimited) extension of the execution of personal security measures are also defined with reference to the "conditions of individual, family and social life". Anyone who does not have a social context of reference and has committed "a fact foreseen by the law as a crime" (not necessarily serious) therefore risks confinement in a hospital facility for the execution of security measures (REMS) for a potentially unlimited period of time. This is also why the presence of immigrants in institutions for the implementation of security measures is increasing. Reform, already attempted with Law 103/2017, now appears increasingly urgent. | it_IT |
