A survey of 1,488 graduates of M.A.-level public history and related programs conducted between April 2016 and May 2017 by a Joint Task Force representing the American Association for State and Local History, the American Historical Association, the National Council on Public History, and the Organization of American Historians reveals generally favorable outcomes in employment, career advancement, and job satisfaction. The survey results report the career paths of public historians who received their graduate degrees between 1985 and 2017, with the majority having graduated since 2007. The members of the Joint Task Force believe this is the most comprehensive assessment of public history careers ever completed. . .it_IT
