dc.description.abstract | AIM: Analysis of long-term follow-up (3 months, 2 years, 5 years and 10 years) in Infantile Esotropia patients (IE), after a 6 muscles approach. METHODS: A 6 muscles approach in IE has been evaluated in patients with inferior oblique (IO) hyperfunction and lateral rectus (LR) pseudoparalysis, who underwent surgery at different ages, in a retrospective study. Setting of the study are the Ophthalmology Department of Salerno University (Italy), the Pediatric Ophthalmology Department of Naples University (Italy) and a Private practice (Naples, Italy). Surgeries were performed between 2002 and 2005. Inclusion criteria are: IE onset by 6 months of age, stable angle ≥30 PD, absence of ocular or CNS anomalies anomalies, preoperative hypermetropia <3 D, surgery performed ≤ 4 years of age, no other previous extraocular muscle surgery...
