La ricerca italiana sulla moneta romana imperiale negli ultimi due decenni
Abstract
The paper tries to illustrate the development of studies on Roman Imperial Coinage in the Italian context in the last decades, in relation also to what happens in the same field in the international context. The most interesting contributions concern the edition and analysis of coin finds, both from a historical-economic and anthropological point of view, the study of the monetary iconography, the publications concerning some particular categories of coins, such as the medallions, and the in-depth studies through methods of archaeometric analysis and 3D characterization.
