This contribution describes a pre-study carried out on a recent experiment in the performing arts sector in Europe. It concerns CooProg, an online platform launched in September 2023, that aims to reduce the carbon footprint of artistic teams’ transport. This contribution presents the tool and the approach adopted by the team behind the project, discusses the cooperative aspect of the programming function; but more importantly, considers the actors discourses and tries to deduce the conditions for success of the tool. While the tool is based on an a priori simple, "common sense" idea, it raises practical, as well as philosophical and ethical questions that presuppose a completely different organization of the sector and a profound change in the values, ways of thinking and even ethos of the players involved. Can a technological tool also trigger or accompany these changes? To what extent can these new cooperative ventures help shape new creative horizons for the cultural sector? These are the questions this paper seeks to answer.it_IT
