Nel 1923 a Brescia il teatro all'aperto sognato da D'Annunzio

Abstract

Febbraio 1923. I legionari fiumani di d’Annunzio – alla testa Antonio Masperi – costruiscono sul Castello di Brescia un teatro all’aperto per settemila spettatori. Ispirata dal Comandante offrono una ricca stagione estiva che si apre con la messa in scena de La Nave, per la prima volta all’aperto. Ad Albano d’Annunzio aveva ideato, ma non realizzato, un teatro in riva al lago. Brescia gli permette di realizzare il sogno. A gennaio del 1924 i buoni risultati conseguiti suggeriscono al poeta di rilevare l’impresa del teatro per ospitare i concerti dalla «Corporazione Delle Nuove Musiche» creata nell’estate del ’23 con Casella e Malipiero e mettere in scena «Frate Sole» mistero per coro e voci sole scritto per l’occasione. Resterà un progetto.
