Banks, stability and competition
Enhanced FEM-DBEM approach for fatigue crack-growth simulation
(Universita degli studi di Salerno, 2018-03-13)To comply with fatigue life requirements, it is often necessary to carry out fracture mechanics assessments of structural components undergoing cyclic loadings. Fatigue growth analyses of cracks is one of the most important ... -
Building functional neuromarkers from resting state fMRI to describe physiopathological traits
(Universita degli studi di Salerno, 2018-03-02)The overarching goal of this work has been that of devising novel methods for building functional neuromarkers from resting-state fMRI data to describe healthy and pathological human behaviour. Observing spontaneous ... -
The effects of roots on the hydro-mecanical behavior of unsaturated pyroclastic soils
(Universita degli studi di Salerno, 2018-05-02)Pyroclastic soils are widely diffused all over the world and they are characterized by high porosity and an open metastable internal structure. In situ they usually cover the shallowest layers of slopes in unsaturated ... -
Numerical methods for organic optoelectronic devices: simulations and experiments
(Universita degli studi di Salerno, 2018-04-05)In recent years, the field of organic electronics has been experiencing a great expansion, due to several characteristics which candidate it as a main player in the definition of new markets comprising low-cost, flexible ... -
Design, synthesis and biological activity of new target selective antitumoral agents
(Universita degli studi di Salerno, 2018-04-05)Cancer development is a complex pathological process that exploits a variety of biological actors. The identification of new molecular entities able to interfere with new biological targets, involved in tumorigenesis, is ... -
Analysis and enhancement of resin flow in liquid composite molding process
(Universita degli studi di Salerno, 2018-04-09)The research activity was devoted to the study of the composite materials manufacturing processes. In particular, the liquid composite molding (LCM) processes were the object of the performed study. In recent years LCM ... -
A neurocomputational model of reward-based motor learning
(Universita degli studi di Salerno, 2017-09-22)The following thesis deals with computational models of nervous system employed in motor reinforcement learning. The novel contribution of this work is that it includes a methodology of experiments for evaluating learning ... -
Ontology-based Model sustaining Competence Management within Corporates: Competence certification in CSR. The SADA Spa Experience
(Universita degli studi di Salerno, 2017-10-31)The theme of competences is characterized by the complex nature, as the possible definitions can be traced back to various fields that belong to the psychology, the world of work and the quality of the reference society. ... -
Propagation analysis of flow like-mass movements to evaluate the effectiveness of passive control works
(Universita degli studi di Salerno, 2018-05-02)Flow-like mass movements are catastrophic events occurring all over the world and may result in a great number of casualties and widespread damages. The analysis of the time-space evolution of the kinematic quantities is ... -
Zone Migranti: un'etnografia della Piana del Sele
(Universita degli studi di Salerno, 2017-10-12)The purpose of this investigation is not only to collect the orality of migrants but to make their "social knowledge" (Curcio, 2017). In order to extract this social knowledge, the use of the most functional qualitative ... -
Aspetti fisico-matematici dei Materiali Auxetici con Memoria di Forma
(Universita degli studi di Salerno, 2018-04-09)The Poisson coefficient, or Poisson’s Ratio, plays a fundamental role in the Continuum Mechanics theory, which represents the relationship between lateral contraction and longitudinal elongation of a material subjected to ... -
Innovative applications of stable carbon isotope ratio in environmental and food chemistry
(Universita degli studi di Salerno, 2018-03-08)In the last year, the stable isotope ratio analysis has become a useful tool with many applications in different scientific area. In particular the characteristic isotope signature of materials has permitted to identify ... -
Development of new in vitro models based on the use of electrospun scaffolds and their imaging by multiphoton microscopy coupled with fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy
(Universita degli studi di Salerno, 2018-02-22)In this thesis, new possible applications of electrospun scaffolds are presented. Besides, the interaction of human dermal fibroblasts (HDFs) with the materials has been investigated using multiphoton microscopy (MPM) ... -
Design, synthesis and biological evaluation of new small-molecule modulators of proein lysine methyltransferases (PKMTs)
(Universita degli studi di Salerno, 2018-04-20)Histone lysine methyltransferases have crucial roles in a number of biological processes and human diseases by controlling gene expression and chromatin state. Within this family, the lysine methyltransferase G9a has emerged ... -
