This article aims to analyze how a migrant postmemory is constructed in the works of Argentine poet Denise León (Tucumán, 1974), that is, a memory that does not arise from direct experience but is transmitted through fragmented narratives, fragmented accounts, and silences that become part of a set of recollections which, from the present, mend a wound from the past. Drawing on an initial testimony, the poet constructs her own experience of displacement, turning writing into a journey of return, although not to fill the empty gaps of memory, but rather to chart a new affective atlas through witness-objects. The study expands the theoretical framework of diaspora memory by incorporating concepts traditionally applied to descendants of Holocaust survivors in order to examine how fragmented and silenced memory operates among third-generation migrants.

This article reflects on the resurgence of authoritarian discourses that vindicate state terror in contemporary Argentina, fifty years after the 1976 coup. In a context of setbacks in Memory, Truth, and Justice policies, it reaffirms testimony as a tool of resistance capable of restoring listening, repairing language, and sustaining the social bond. It shows how official discourses invert historical meanings and seek to erase crimes against humanity, while personal and collective narratives make it possible to recover nuances and experiences that challenge the culture of fear. The article highlights the importance of microhistories and intergenerational transmission in confronting the “pedagogy of cruelty.” This testimonial force is illustrated through a recent gathering at the former ESMA site, where survivors and younger generations brought their voices together to understand gender-based violence under state terrorism and to affirm the enduring relevance of memory.

110 % verdad by Mariana Eva Pérez in order to investigate aesthetics of memory through the transformation of the blog (2009) into two books (the first edition published in 2012 and the expanded second edition in 2021). This corpus is inscribed within the contemporary Argentine testimonial imagination and draws on a hybrid aesthetic shaped by autobiography, the blog format, and the personal diary. We observe that the construction of testimony and memory is carried out through politics of enunciation that evolve into literary aesthetics situated between the visual and the self-referential (Moreno, 2008), taking into account mixed writing processes in which images and words overlap. In Pérez’s work, testimony and fiction take shape through a process that moves from blog to book and then from book to its own expansion, placing the authorial “I” at the very center of the narrative. The article argues that, through the transformation of the work’s writing process and in light of the autobiographical turn (Giordano, 2008), it is possible to identify a hybrid testimonial aesthetic that intertwines the visual and the written, the blog and the book, and the private and the public.
