I Sei personaggi di Pirandello dalla scena allo schermo Giulio, Rosa Il saggio, anche in un confronto serrato con gli approdi recenti della critica pirandelliana, segue la storia avventurosa dei celebri sei Personaggi, dalle dichiarazioni progettuali alla princeps e alle sue varianti, dai rapporti intratestuali con i personaggi delle opere narrative e dalle loro metamorfosi al metateatro e alla dimensione dell’oltre, declinato in diversa accezione semantica: “oltre” l’Autore, i Sei vengono ripresi da altri autori, messi in scena da nuovi creatori, fino a diventare quasi irriconoscibili, e proiettati in un ulteriore spazio artistico che sembra negarne l’autonomia, pur rimanendo paradossalmente vitalissimi.; The essay, also in a close comparison with the recent arrivals of Pirandello criticism, follows the adventurous story of the famous Sei Personaggi, from the design statements to the princeps and its variants, from the intratextual relationships with the characters of the narrative works and from their metamorphosis to the metatheatre and to the dimension of the oltre, declined in a different semantic meaning: “oltre” the Author, the Six are taken up by other authors, staged by new creators, until they become almost unrecognizable, and projected into a further artistic space that seems denying its autonomy, while paradoxically remaining very vital.

Sei personaggi in cerca di schermo Acocella, Silvia Un continuo processo di transcodificazione caratterizza i Sei personaggi in cerca d’autore, un’opera nata come romanzo, trasposta negli anni Venti sulla scena teatrale, ma intrinsecamente destinata allo schermo cinematografico. La luce si rivela essere un elemento fondamentale della costituzione stessa della realtà dei personaggi. Il confronto tra la Prefazione ai Sei personaggi, scritta nel ’25 e il Prologo del racconto cinematografico del ’26, rivelerà le potenzialità fisiche e metafisiche della luce sostanziale che anima i Sei personaggi.; A continuous transcoding process distinguishes the Six Characters in Search of an Author, a work born as a novel, transposed in the Twenties on the theatrical scene, but intrinsically destined for the cinema screen. Light turns out to be a fundamental element of the very constitution of the characters’ reality. The comparison between the Preface to the Six Characters of ’25 and the Prologue of the cinematographic story of ’26, will reveal the physical and metaphysical potential of the substantial light that animates the Six Characters.

In esso i personaggi (fantocci, apparizioni, desideri, fantasmi) si muovono in trame indicate con i nomi di parabole, misteri, giochi, fantasie, sintesi, avventure, viaggi, situazioni, metateatro, sogni, fiabe, miti. I loro finali non concludono: sono enigmatici, sospesi, interrotti, circolari. La risata che proviene dalle viscere appartiene ai personaggi femminili: la Donna grassa, la Figliastra, Ilse, sorelle della Clelia di Svevo, Maria di Ludovici, Teresa di Savinio. Quella reiterata della Figliastra con il suo suono chiude i Sei personaggi.; The contribution frames the laughter of the Stepdaughter in the trend of the twentieth century theater. In it the characters (puppets, apparitions, desires, ghosts) move in plots indicated with the names of parables, mysteries, games, fantasies, syntheses, adventures, travels, situations, metatheater, dreams, fairy tales, myths. Their endings do not end: they are enigmatic, suspended, interrupted, circular. The laughter that comes from the bowels belongs to the female characters: the Fat Woman, the Stepdaughter, Ilse, sisters of the Clelia di Svevo, Maria di Ludovici, Teresa di Savinio. The repeated one of the Stepdaughter with its sound closes the Sei personaggi.
