Agovino, Teresa
This work (divided in two parts) looks at Walter Siti’s Il contagiofrom an anthropological perspective. Throughout the reading of Amselle, Augé and Lévi-Strauss a new way of reading one of the most important Italian authors inthe XXIcentury is depicted. By this reading, the meaning of life in the “borgata romana”acquires a new, and more significant, point of view.

Arcidiacono, Salvatore
With a view to edit the Vocabolario del Siciliano Medievale(VSM), this paper collects somemarginal notes taken from the recent edition of the Inventario by Don Alvaro Paternò. We intendto test, for the first time on the lexicon of the Sicilian language, the application of a semantictaxonomy based on the Historical Thesaurus of English(HTE), limited to the conceptual field ofresidential building. About 50 lexemes related to the house or to real estate properties listed inthe Inventariowill be analyzed. The aim is to evaluate an onomasiological structure apt to support the electronical managementof the VSM dictionary and to organize the editorial work according to an evolutive approach.

<summary type="text">Sotto il segno del “naufragio”: la scrittura autobiografica di Pietro Giannone
D’Antuono, Nunzia
Pietro Giannone, imprisoned in the fortress of Miolans, between April 1736 and September of the following year, wrote the Vita, which remained forgotten until 1890. The autobiographical pages, with their amount of information, must beread together with the considerations collected in the Ape ingegnosa. Giannone, forced into narrow spaces and chased by slander, reconstructing his historia calamitatum, gives us a fundamental piece of the history of the autobiography, that handed down the image of the persecuted intellectual overwhelmed by History which –unlike the beloved Lucrezio –cannot watch from the shore the spectacle of the shipwreck.
