Discorso politico e satira: apprendimento linguistico con spirito critico
Abstract
The paper presents the educational pathway of a course in English Language and Linguistics for Master
students of Political Science. Based on the study of irony, satire and parody applied to political and media
discourse, the course focused on contemporary practices, such as culture jamming and mash-ups, and
aimed to give students the linguistic tools they need to address current political and social events and to
develop critical thinking skills.
