dc.description.abstract | The Directive of the European Parliament and the Council regarding the European Investigation Order (EIO) in criminal matters – was proposed in April 2010 – by a group of seven European Union Member States. The European Investigation Order is based on mutual recognition, which means that each EU country is obliged to recognise and carry out the request of the other country, as it would do with a decision coming from its own authorities. The EIO would replace the existing legal framework applicable to the gathering and transfer of evidence between the member States | it_IT |
