The present article proposes a look at the political and cultural horizon of revolutionary Cuba to examine the conditions in which intellectual pro-duction develops on the Island. Ideological relations between intellectu-als and the revolutionary leadership in the context of the construction of socialism, as well as in the work of scientific dissemination carried out by the Criterios magazine from the seventies to the nineties and from which theoretical-methodological alternatives are proposed to the Marxist line of thought of Soviet Stalinist orientation that was widely circulated in Cuba during those decades.it_IT
