| dc.description.abstract | This contribution aims to investigate, through a local and territorial historiographical reconstruction, the establishment of the first nursery school within the territory of the Municipality of Foligno, in the period immediately following the publication
in Italy of Law No. 1044 of December 6, 1971, The Five-Year Plan for the establishment
of municipal nursery schools with the contribution of the State. This research perspective
aligns with the vein of studies focusing on territories, local communities, and the real-life
functioning of educational institutions. The research examines the establishment of the
first municipally-managed nursery school based on sources derived from the Municipal
Council Resolutions, searching through municipal archives scattered across the territory
for the minutes of council and municipal board meetings, as well as Regional Council
