| dc.description.abstract | This article aims to analyze how artificial intelligence systems can be used to combat transnational crime within the EU, the legal framework governing their use, as well as the potential risks to personal rights arising from their use and how to address or mitigate these risks. With AI tools being used both in the commission of crimes and in their prevention, combating, and punishment, an analysis of the legal and ethical implications of technological progress regarding transnational crime is essential in the current context. The analysis will be based primarily on the relevant provisions set forth in the recently adopted AI Act. | it_IT |
