Abstract

The aim of this study is to understand whether or not the actions taken by the Member States of the European Union (EU) during the COVID-19 emergency were successful in ensuring an adequate balance between their national interests and respect of the fundamental rights set out in the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) most directly related to the EU Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (AFSJ).
