Abstract: This article will show how Littell combines reported words, narrator’s reflections, descriptions of events or images as intermediary materials useful to authenticate his experience. In this work the author wants to give an interpretation of reality, personal and limited, but anchored to his direct experience, to his physical involvement and supported by the critical examination of documents and testimonies. Therefore, Carnets de Homsis not only a reportage, but a “documentary narration”
