Abstract: With a view to edit the Vocabolario del Siciliano Medievale(VSM), this paper collects somemarginal notes taken from the recent edition of the Inventario by Don Alvaro Paternò. We intendto test, for the first time on the lexicon of the Sicilian language, the application of a semantictaxonomy based on the Historical Thesaurus of English(HTE), limited to the conceptual field ofresidential building. About 50 lexemes related to the house or to real estate properties listed inthe Inventariowill be analyzed.The aim is to evaluate an onomasiological structure apt to support the electronical managementof the VSM dictionary and to organize the editorial work according to an evolutive approach.
