Considerazioni sparse tra carabattole e oggetti desueti

Abstract

Raccontare la storia degli oggetti è un’esperienza tanto complessa quanto affascinante, non solo perché quella delle cose è una storia potenzialmente infinita, ma anche perché non si può che riscontrare la presenza di oggetti continuamente in cerca d’autore per assurgere infine alla dignità letteraria. Partendo da questa premessa, l’obiettivo di questo saggio è tracciare un confronto fra due opere fondamentali per lo studio del rapporto fra oggetti e società, vale a dire “Carabattole” di Epifanio Ajello e “Gli oggetti desueti” di Francesco Orlando: due modi differenti ma complementari che svelano, ciascuno a suo modo, l’identità delle cose.

Telling the story of objects is an hard yet fascsinating experience, not only because things can potentially create infinite stories, but also because you can find the presence of objects continuously looking for author to finally rise to literary dignity. Starting from this premise, the objective of this essay isto draw a comparison between two Fundamental works for the study of the relationship between object and society, which are ‘Carabattole’ of Epifanio Ajello and ‘Gli oggetti desueti’ di Francesco Orlando: two different but at same time complementary ways that reveal, each in its own way, the identity of objects.
