Il museo MEMO 4345 di Borgo San Dalmazzo. Intervista ad Adriana Muncinelli

Abstract

A Borgo San Dalmazzo è presente da anni un memoriale che segna una pagina tragica della storia della città, ricordando come tra il 1943 e il 1944 la città avesse ospitato un campo di transito per ebrei italiani e stranieri. Dal 2021, a pochi passi dal memoriale, è inaugurato un museo, MEMO 4345, che racconta quella storia e soprattutto la storia delle persone che da lì furono deportate nei campi di sterminio. Un museo di storia, che promuove una decisa riflessione anche su temi purtroppo ancora attuali, sulla guerra, sul razzismo, sulle radici dell’odio.

In Borgo San Dalmazzo, a memorial has existed for years; it marks a tragic page in the history of the city, recalling how between 1943 and 1944 the city had hosted a transit camp for Italian and foreign Jews. From 2021, a few steps from the memorial, a museum has been inaugurated, MEMO 4345, which tells that story and above all the story of the people who were deported from there to the extermination camps. A history museum, which promotes clear reflection also on still current issues such as war, racism, the roots of hatred.
