Abstract: Impressioni personali degli anni universitari e riflessioni critiche attuali si intrecciano in questa rilettura della raccolta di alcuni saggi di Auerbach curata da Della Terza. Non solo si discutono ragioni e metodi della scelta, ma si confronta anche l’ermeneutica di Auerbach con le esegesi dei maggiori studiosi di Dante e della civiltà medievale, da Curtius a Gilson, da Spitzer a Singleton.
Personal impressions of his university years and current critical reflections are intertwined in this reinterpretation of the collection of some essays by Auerbach edited by Della Terza. Not only are the reasons and methods of the choice discussed, but Auerbach's hermeneutics is also compared with the exegeses of the major scholars of Dante and medieval civilization, from Curtius to Gilson, from Spitzer to Singleton.
