Letteratura sportiva come genere? A un vincitore nel pallone, il rischio per vincere la noia

Abstract

Il legame fra sport e letteratura è testimoniato da una produzione sempre più estesa, non solo italiana, di antologie di scritti in prosa e in poesia. D’altra parte, la letteratura interpreta e racconta la vita e la condizione umana e questa sua funzione trova nello sport un punto di passaggio quasi obbligato. A volte si tratta di presenze circoscritte o solo di tracce, altre volte di opere ad esclusivo tema sportivo, nelle quali, seppure apparentemente centrale nell’economia dell’opera, lo sport è il più delle volte un pretesto utile alla elaborazione di una trama non sportiva. Nella tradizione italiana una testimonianza esemplare agli inizi dell’800 ha impegnato uno dei giganti della nostra poesia: Leopardi. Per la sua avvincente idea del rischio e dell'azzardo, il contributo intende analizzare la canzone A un vincitore nel pallone.

The link between sport and literature is evidenced by an increasingly extensive production, not only Italian, of anthologies of prose and poetry writings. On the other hand, literature interprets and tells the story of life and the human condition and this function finds in sport an almost obligatory point of passage. Sometimes these are circumscribed presences or only traces, other times works with an exclusive sports theme, in which, although apparently central to the economy of the work, sport is most often a useful pretext for the elaboration of a non-sporting plot. In the Italian tradition an exemplary testimony at the beginning of the nineteenth century has engaged Giacomo Leopardi. For his compelling idea of risk and gambling, the contribution intends to analyze the poetry A un vincitore nel pallone.
