Travestire Macbeth per demistificare la contemporaneità: potere, amore e morte nel tardo capitalismo

Abstract

L’articolo si concentra sul rapporto non sporadico di Sanguineti con Shakespeare, facendo emergere diverse problematiche e delineando compiutamente il concetto di travestimento. L’analisi porta alla luce un legame particolare fra Macbeth Remix e l’introduzione di Sanguineti a un’edizione del Manifesto di Marx e Engels, le Tesi sul Manifesto: i due testi dialogano al punto che le osservazioni marxiane sono il retroterra del travestimento shakesperiano e dicono sul piano interpretativo quello che il Macbeth Remix dice su quello artistico. In questo gioco, il testo da tradurre diventa una sorta di contrainte, con le sue regole e i suoi limiti dell’interpretazione: è uno sguardo su una scrittura radicata nella storia.

The article focuses on Sanguineti's non-sporadic relationship with Shakespeare, bringing out various issues and fully outlining the concept of disguise. The analysis brings to light a particular link between Macbeth Remix and Sanguineti’s introduction to an edition of Marx and Engels’ Manifest, the Tesi sul Manifesto: the two texts dialogue to the point that the Marxian observations are the background of the Shakespearean disguise and they say on an interpretative level what the Macbeth Remix says on an artistic level. In this game, the text to be translated becomes a sort of contrainte, with its rules and its limits of interpretation: it is a look at a writing rooted in history.
