Sei personaggi in cerca d'autore: violazione/capovolgimento della tragedia nel pirandelliano teatro del dubbio

Abstract

Il saggio, a partire da osservazioni e dichiarazioni di Luigi Pirandello inerenti a Sei personaggi in cerca d’autore e dalla messa in scena del 1925, presso il teatro Odescalchi, vuole indagare il problema del tragico e della violazione degli statuti inerenti a questo genere teatrale, operati consapevolmente dal drammaturgo di Girgenti, che al contrario dispone, in linea con la più avanzate sperimentazioni teatrali dei primi vent’anni del Novecento, un teatro del dubbio e dell’irrisolto, o della sospensione assurda anche del tragico o della tragedia.

The essay, starting from observations and statements of Luigi Pirandello inherent to Sei personaggi in cerca d’autore and the staging of 1925, at the Odescalchi theater, wants to investigate the problem of the tragic and the violation of the statutes inherent in this theatrical genre, operated consciously by the playwright of Girgenti, which on the contrary has, in line with the most advanced theatrical experimentation of the first twenty years of the twentieth century, a theater of doubt and unresolved, or absurd suspension of the tragic or tragedy.
