Abstract

Il saggio propone una prima analisi sulla collaborazione tra Alessandro (meglio noto come Alexander) Salvini (Roma, 1861- Firenze, 1896), figlio del Grande Attore Tommaso Salvini, e Paul Kester, giovane autore americano. I documenti inediti, rinvenuti presso la New York Public Library, e le cronache costituiscono un ottimo punto di partenza per ricostruire la carriera del figlio d’Arte italiano negli Stati Uniti e il sodalizio drammaturgico con Kester.

This essay offers an initial analysis of the collaboration between Alessandro (better known as Alexander) Salvini (Rome, 1861– Florence, 1896), son of the great actor Tommaso Salvini, and Paul Kester, a young American author. The unpublished documents, found at the New York Public Library, and the chronicles are an excellent starting point for reconstructing the career of the Italian son of art in the United States and his dramaturgical partnership with Kester.
