Bonomo, Annalisa
The present study focuses on the role of daimons in the trilogy His Dark Materials by
Philip Pullman, by showing some possible links to the traditional representations of the “double” in literature. Within Pullman’s cosmogony (a real “dark matter” for a critical analysis beyond genre boundaries) the daimon-character relationship highlights – even plastically and balancing between a literary metaphor and a narrative projection of the Junghian soul – the disentanglement of the stablished rigidity of characters which results from an ideological and cultural pattern that the subversive power of fantasy is able to put into question.

<title>Il genio sovversivo di Renato Caccioppoli secondo Jean-Noël Schifano</title>
<link>http://elea.unisa.it/xmlui/handle/10556/3987</link>
<description>Il genio sovversivo di Renato Caccioppoli secondo Jean-Noël Schifano
Cornacchia, Francesco
This paper introduces and analyzes characteristics, aspects and contents of the
biographical story that Jean-Noël Schifano has written about Renato Caccioppoli
(Naples, 1904-1959), a recognized academic and mathematical genius. Caccioppoli was
also a pianist, a lover of cinema and literature, an anarchist and a militant communist
who lived his passions in a feverish way. Forgotten and then brought back to the fore by
the film “Morte di un genio matematico” (directed by Mario Martone in 1992), there is a
risk he will be remembered by the great public above all for his charisma and eccentricity. To avoid this risk, Schifano neither exalts nor privileges some aspects of Caccioppoli, succeeding in realizing a fresh and whole “portrait”. Besides, the present paper shows that, going over the characteristics of the biographical genre, the author puts the narration of the events of Caccioppoli’s life in a sort of intimate journal: it achieves the effect of a direct conversation between the author/narrator and the reader and a greater effectiveness at the level of characterization.

<title>Il teatro come spettacolo e lo spettacolo teatrale in Alberto Arbasino</title>
<link>http://elea.unisa.it/xmlui/handle/10556/3986</link>
<description>Il teatro come spettacolo e lo spettacolo teatrale in Alberto Arbasino
D’Antuono, Nicola
This essay analyzes the role and the function of theatre and show in the different Alberto Arbasino’s works and poetic. It points out the paradigm from melodrama to cabaret, to musical, to magazine. Inside the courses and appeals, inevitable for the anthropology and the history, the predilection of the theatre is a lack and an artistic urgency to other forms, as it happens during the Italian crisis of the decade 1970-1980 and in the recent years.
