This work starts from the definition of the roman family institution as a “sacred island”, that has been defined by Professor Francesco Paolo Casavola. Moreover we elaborate on a fundamental topic in the roman juridical area, formed by the centrality of the “pater familias” among the roman familia and its variegated and complicated relationship with the magic-and-sacred world of ius and of fasit_IT
