straginazifasciste.it.
all’integrazione e al perfezionamento dello
strumento. Starting from local research in certain
regions in the late 90’s, the mapping of the
massacres carried out by Nazis and fascists
in Italy had a slow progression until the
financing of Fondo italo-tedesco per il futuro
made it possible to create, in a few years,
the www.straginazifasciste.it database.
Online since April 6, 2016, the Atlas of
massacres was immediately an important
tool for researchers, but also a phenomenal
public memorial, open and therefore capable
of intercepting requests and reports made
by local communities and associations or
relatives of the victims, who still contribute
to the integration and improvement of the
database.
