Abstract

Nel confronto tra Edoardo Sanguineti e Carol Rama emerge potente un tema che appartiene alla modernità artistica quantomeno a partire dalle Lettera di Lord Chandos di Hugo von Hofmannsthal. È l’indissolubile matrimonio di parola e immagine. L’incarnazione antica e nuova del Verbo è la premessa a partire dalla quale Edoardo Sanguineti riflette sulla simbolizzazione dei materiali che è il cuore dei lavori di Carol, riconoscendo in essi un’esperienza polisensa, che egli sperimenta non solo attraverso Carol ma in prima persona nella sua poetica. Questo fornisce un’apertura cosmica all’opera d’arte che contrasta il nichilismo moderno.

This provides a cosmic openness to the artwork that counteracts modern nihilism.
