| dc.description.abstract | Questo contributo analizza il rapporto tra Luigi Pirandello e Marta Abba attraverso la loro corrispondenza epistolare dal 1925 al 1936. Emergono la storia del Teatro d’Arte e i problemi, sia artistici che personali, del drammaturgo e dell’attrice in un quadro di estrema profondità umana. La morte del Maestro pose fine al loro dialogo, che risentì anche del trasferimento della primadonna negli Stati Uniti, rivelando una complessa dimensione affettiva spesso taciuta, nascosta o negata per ragioni di immagine. This article analyses the relationship between Luigi Pirandello and Marta Abba, considering their correspondence in years 1925-1936. We can observe the history of “Teatro d’Arte”, with the artistic and personal problems of the dramatist and actress, in a context of extreme human depth. The Master’s death brought an end to this dialogue, that also resented the transfer of the diva in the United States, revealing a complex emotional dimension – often unmentioned, hidden or denied for reasons of image. | it_IT |
