El color como elemento sémico y narrativo de características po-líticas y socioculturales en la ilustración de cuentos clásicos.
Abstract
El siguiente artículo se enfoca en el análisis del color como elemento sémico narrativo de características políticas y socioculturales en la ilustración de cuentos clásicos. Para lograr este objetivo se analizan los casos de Blancanieves de Paula Rego 1995 artista portuguesa y Alicia en el país de las maravillas de Jan Svankmajer 1988 artista checo, usando la metodología Zero de Harvard que se acerca a la imagen desde una visión crítica y holística generando conexiones entre distintas áreas. En este trabajo se toma el color desde sus características de signo plástico (con capacidades sémicas y expresivas) evidenciando, finalmente, cómo este es usado en distintas ocasiones para la visualización de ideas políticas y socioculturales que generan una narrativa y sentido particular a la imagen. Este análisis se genera como parte de la investigación doctoral sobre la función del color en la ilustración de cuentos clásicos. The following article focuses on the analysis of color as a semic and narrative element of political and sociocultural characteristics in the illustration of classic tales. To achie-ve this objective, the cases of Snow White by Paula Rego 1995 Portuguese artist and Alice in Wonderland by Jan Svankmajer 1988 Czech artist are analyzed using the Zero methodology of Harvard that approaches the image from a critical and holistic vision ge-nerating connections between Different areas. In this work, color is taken from its cha-racteristics as a plastic sign (with semic and expressive capacities) finally evidencing how it is used on different occasions for the visualization of political and sociocultural ideas that generate a particular narrative and meaning to the image. This analysis is generated as part of the doctoral research on the function of color in the illustration of classic tales.
