Abstract: María Rosa Lojo has developed a complex artistic production in which fiction and metafiction dialogue around the resolution of a powerful utopia: the overcoming of the identity tear and the construction of a complex identity, in times of dictatorships and exiles, both in Spain and Argentina. For Lojo, what is involved in this historical present is not to think who was right and who was not, but to build, even from the ruins, a look that manages to escape the thought of mourning, impotence and failure and, through the potentiality of art, to recompose a national imaginary that does not exclude difference and plurality.
