Abstract: Through the analysis of Giuseppe Ungaretti’s letters – both published and unpublished – Silvia Zoppi Garampi has shown the importance of studying correspondences, often crucial in revealing various dynamics behind prose and poetry production. These “Grande Vecchio” letters, thus, can not only solve practical issues, communicate ideas, suggest publishing strategies, but also function as Ungaretti’s poetry workshop.
