Abstract: The present paper, based on a French language course delivered to the students of “Management delle imprese internazionali” at the Parthenope University of Naples, aims to describe the educational path specifically created for students of non-linguistic departments (language training for non-specialists) with a French language level ranging from A2 to B1. In particular, this experience consisted in the didactization of a sample of food product packages commercialized in France; indeed, according to the CEFR, authentic texts are present in both “public” and “professional” sectors, thus offering a variety of text types with different functions, graphic designs, and senders, even if appearing in a unique space. This multi-faceted approach, which takes advantage of the heterogeneity of its target audience, allowed students of non-linguistic disciplines to access various micro-languages with their specific glossaries and phraseological forms, as well as some technical terms, without omitting enunciative operations and cultural aspects.
