Abstract: | The present work aims to investigate the period before the Prague Spring (1968) and the tension between culture and politics through the study of one particular cultural agent, the literary magazines. In particular, the work focuses on the period 1956-1966 and on the events of three literary magazines dedicated to youth literary production: the closure of “Květen” on 1959, the transition phase of “Mladá tvorba” in the period ’59-’63 and the first phase of “Tvář” (1964-65). |
