Abstract: | In these pages we analyze the dynamics of intertextual relationships established at a distance and between texts of different origins, including famous fragments of opera. The first of these retakes involves Leopardi's use – perhaps consciously –of the aria taken from Così fan tutte Bella vita militar; the analysis of the style, however, highlights a clear Ariosto's interference. The second of the reported operations extends to the Luzi masterpiece Alla vita, but also involves a complex underlying work that leads from Dante's Comedy to the more markedly symbolist verses of Antonio Machado. |
