Abstract: Fabrizio Crisafulli is a theatre director and a visual artist who combines his creative work with a sharp self-analysis of his own artistic process and theatrical aesthetics. Moreover, he is a pedagogue and a scholar who often deals with unusual themes, with notable historio-graphical acumen. This conversation analyses hisrelationship with writing and considers (ex-plicitly or implicitly) the connection of his three books to the themes and motifs of his theatrical research.
