Abstract: | This research article analyzes with a qualitative methodology the representations about immigration bordering on Liliana Bodoc’s Presagio de Carnaval, one of the few examples of the Argentine narrative that incorporates - as a subject of fiction and reflection - one of the many otherness - es denied in the national history. To this end, we resorted to the positions made by different sources and studies, from which we try to deconstruct the processes that have contributed to the configuration of the social subjectivities that interact in the plot. We argue that the absence of works that are versed on the argument reflects the tensions of an identity that must still deals with to the reality of its past. |
