Abstract: On the occasion of celebrations of 700th Anniversary of Dante’s death, the aim of this work is to underline the universality of Dante’s poetry, in the description of human sufferings, according to modern and post- modern vision of life. The wholly perception of crisis, due to the pandemic in a new sense of fear, disease and instability, emphasizes the consciousness of fragility and vulnerability, that, such as for 20th century authors, has in the model of Dante’s Inferno the mirror through which literature might define itself as inner voice of all-times mankind.
