Abstract: The very concept of social inequality is accompanied by the concept of social welfare, the concepts of need and equity or social justice. People’s inequality continues to be not only a consequence determined by the economic dimension, but also by the political, social, environmental context, and the development. The goals of sustainable develop-ment are a reality which allows it to be an expression of fair equity not because it must be considered immediately correct and just, but because it seeks to create synergetic and integrated policies between the different dimensions present in the social context (economic, environmental, political, and social). In the first part, the work examines inequality, poverty, and social exclusion in Latin America. The second part will look at possible equity policies which could be applied, in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals.
