This research article is the result of studies carried out with judicial documentation of the eighteenth century contained in the General Archive of the Argentine Nation. Our aim is to describe the characteristics of the legal language contained in criminal records, highlighting its specificity and specialization, in times when judicial practices were in hands of lay judges and professional judges. With this contribution we are trying to improve our knowledge of an aspect of the language that still lacks jobs for the period under consideration.it_IT
