Abstract

Un continuo processo di transcodificazione caratterizza i Sei personaggi in cerca d’autore, un’opera nata come romanzo, trasposta negli anni Venti sulla scena teatrale, ma intrinsecamente destinata allo schermo cinematografico. La luce si rivela essere un elemento fondamentale della costituzione stessa della realtà dei personaggi. Il confronto tra la Prefazione ai Sei personaggi, scritta nel ’25 e il Prologo del racconto cinematografico del ’26, rivelerà le potenzialità fisiche e metafisiche della luce sostanziale che anima i Sei personaggi.

A continuous transcoding process distinguishes the Six Characters in Search of an Author, a work born as a novel, transposed in the Twenties on the theatrical scene, but intrinsically destined for the cinema screen. Light turns out to be a fundamental element of the very constitution of the characters’ reality. The comparison between the Preface to the Six Characters of ’25 and the Prologue of the cinematographic story of ’26, will reveal the physical and metaphysical potential of the substantial light that animates the Six Characters.
