Pulviscolo stellare. Sanguineti astrofilo fra Dante e chimerici schedari

Abstract

Per un intellettuale poliedrico e aperto a molti interessi come Edoardo Sanguineti la frequentazione di molti campi del sapere, anche distanti dall’àmbito umanistico, è fatto naturale. Il presente contributo ha l’obiettivo di verificare la consistenza delle sue conoscenze astronomiche, passando in rassegna alcune schede lessicografiche riconducibili al tema, materiali di lavoro varî e le carte preparatorie di un inconcluso e inedito commento al Purgatorio di Dante.

For an intellectual as multifaceted and open to many interests as Edoardo Sanguineti, the frequentation of many fields of knowledge, even those distant from the humanistic sphere, is a natural fact. The aim of this paper is to verify the consistency of his astronomical knowledge, reviewing some lexicographical entries that can be traced back to the subject, various working materials and the preparatory papers of an unfinished and unpublished commentary on Dante’s Purgatory.
