Partiranno is a singular novel within the unique literary biography of Luce d’Eramo. It is her most beloved novel, a science fiction, but also a police thriller and a spy story. The writer mixes differtent literary genres, various textual typologies and many documentary materials, different perspectives and narrative voices, with a skilful seaming operation. The plot is constantly hovering between reality and fantasy; its lyrical dimension makes it a psychological novel, whose central core is the discovery of alterity, outside and inside the human being. The lexicon has a decisive role. The paper examines the lexical strategies adopted by Luce d’Eramo in the novel: a lexical structure of medium tone, with soughts words within the common terms, many technicalities, neologisms (also semantic or morpho-syntactic neologisms) and forestierisms, in particular from French but also from English and German. The lexicon is transformed into poetic images.it_IT
