| dc.description.abstract | Nel suo Discorso sulla poesia (1953), Salvatore Quasimodo scriveva: «Faremo un giorno una carta poetica del Sud; e non importa se toccherà la Magna Grecia ancora, il suo cielo sopra le immagini imperturbabili d’innocenza e di sensi accecanti. Là forse sta nascendo la permanenza della poesia». Il mio intervento prende spunto proprio da questa intuizione di Quasimodo per ripercorrere un periodo cruciale del Novecento letterario italiano, in cui si registra per la prima volta, fra gli autori meridionali, una nuova consapevolezza sia espressiva sia identitaria, che li porterà a rappresentare un vasto territorio fino a quel momento pressoché estromesso dalle cartografie poetiche ufficiali, introducendo, nel dibattito letterario, nuove istanze espressive. | it_IT |

Perhaps the permanence of poetry is being born there». This paper is inspired precisely by this intuition of Quasimodo to retrace a crucial period of the Italian literature of the twentieth century, in which for the first time, among southern authors, there was a new awareness of both expression and identity, which would lead them to represent a vast a territory that had until then been practically excluded from official poetic cartographies, introducing new expressive instances into the literary debate. | it_IT |
